Pedals to the Medals
In three years, the MORE Foundation Cycling Team has established itself as a premier USA Cycling race/club team through our focus on success and values of excellence, innovation and teamwork. The team boasts three Arizona State Champions. The MORE Cycling Team was founded in 2014 as the CORE Institute Cycling Team. The nonprofit 501(c)3 MORE Foundation’s mission is to empower individuals to Keep Life in Motion through innovative research, community education and charitable assistance. All 30 members of the MORE Foundation Cycling Team seek to Keep Life in Motion by promoting an active, healthy lifestyle through cycling to a desirable demographic while raising awareness of musculoskeletal conditions.
The popularity of cycling has grown steadily over the years and, more recently, has skyrocketed in participation and visibility. Before 2012, the number of cyclists increased slightly each year since 2008; however, a big increase between 2012 and 2014 was seen with 51 million riders in 2012 to more than 67 million riders in 2014.
For the 2017 season, MORE Foundation racers will participate in over 100 USA Cycling sanctioned races in Arizona, California and New Mexico and seeks to have an impact at the USA Cycling National Championships in May 2017 in North Carolina. In addition, for 2017, we look to plant the seed of a Junior development team wherein our seasoned, proven riders will mentor Junior riders and instill a focus on success, on and off the bike, while cultivating values of excellence, collaborative innovation and teamwork.
