Community Education

From sharing the basics of sports medicine with the general public to demonstrating the details of orthopedic surgery to health-care professionals, we educate our communities in a variety of ways.
For example:

  • The MORE Foundation researchers and partnering physicians present special lectures, educational forums and conferences in our communities. Our professionals continue to donate their time and resources to share their knowledge with groups of lay people, semiprofessional athletes, high school groups, medical students, interns and researchers.
  • The MORE Foundation researchers provide ongoing mentorship to students from local universities as well as medical students and interns from the Veterans Health Administration, both inside and outside the lab in surgical and research training.
  • The MORE Foundation researchers frequently mentor multiple medical and graduate students at a time in how to conduct orthopedic research, training the next generation of researchers and clinicians to strive for excellence.
